Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your FanDuel account. This will ensure you’re the only person who can access your information.

First, you’ll log in with your email address and password like you do now. Then, you’ll be asked to provide a unique 6-digit code using an authenticator app on your phone or sent via SMS.

You can then choose your preferred type of verification, authentication app or SMS. Step-by-step directions in the app will then guide you through the process.

If you have both a FanDuel Sportsbook and Fantasy account, two-factor authentication will automatically be turned on for both accounts.

Authenticator apps provide temporary 6-digit codes that are unique to your account and device. Once you’ve linked an authenticator app to your FanDuel account, you will have to provide that 6-digit code anytime you log in to FanDuel.

To find an authenticator app, just search for “Two-factor authenticator” in the iOS or Android app store. Most apps will work with FanDuel, but we recommend the Google Authenticator app.

Why am I being required to set up Two-Factor Authentication?

Due to state regulations, all operators in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Illinois, Tennessee and New Jersey must use two-factor authentication. Additionally, if you have had any activity in the state of New Jersey, you will also be required to use two-factor authentication.
